Who We Are

The mission of The Metamorphosis Women's Empowerment Initiative is to serve as a catalyst for positive change, to empower and advance women of all ages in all aspects of their lives. The Metamorphosis Women’s Empowerment Initiative is a multi-faceted community based organization in Stroudsburg, PA established to build a multitude of relationships fashioned to enhance “the womanly Experience”. Metamorphosis uses a holistic approach to address the whole woman by directly addressing each individual’s specific needs, concerns and issues, introducing them to and supporting them in endeavors resulting in personal, economic and professional growth. The completion of their transformation in The Metamorphosis Women’s Empowerment Initiative will result in changes in their lives and communities creating healthier environments for themselves and their families. As a newly formed organization, celebrating our 1st anniversary, We have established four foundational stones ( Food Security, Mental Health, Job Readiness, and Healthy Lifestyle) used to create each clients personal strategic plan for their success.

What We Do

Through strategic alliances with community organizations, programs to address food insecurity challenges, creation of educational and empowerment programs, mental health and support groups and the Chrysalis Resource center, Metamorphosis will create a venue for women to access a variety of resources, assistance and harvest the power of their own voices to assist in their personal transformations. The Metamorphosis Everybody Eats Project, A 501(c)3 Not for Profit Program, addresses and assists in reducing food insecurities by providing emergency nutritional assistance to families of underserved and low income communities affected by various stability challenges. Care packages are specifically prepared for the family being serviced to avoid food allergies and minimize the wasting of unwanted items then delivered directly to the home. We currently service up to 10 families per week with a focus on those unable to leave their homes for various reasons. That number continues to grow as more people, particularly the elderly and homeless are affected. We have assisted over 200 families affected by various emergency situations such as the pandemic, homelessness, death of family members, unemployment, illness, fires and domestic violence just to name a few.
