With this opportunity, you will team up with Sights for Hope clients with visual impairments and blindness and have a good time shopping at The Crossings Premium Outlet.

Volunteers will help clients navigate the shops, look for items, manage money etc. You will also learn more about services available from the organization.

Volunteers will be painting miniature pots that will be delivered to home-bound residents in Monroe County. 

Project will take place at Pocono Mountains United Way's Office in Stroudsburg. This event is accessible for those who are unable to participate in outdoor activities.

Volunteers will be assembling furniture for the daycare reopening that will take place after renovations.

We’re looking for volunteers to help us improve and maintain our preschool environment at our Tobyhanna location. Volunteers will meet at the Meals on Wheel office in Stroudsburg before loading up and leaving for deliveries. Volunteers/Teams will be utilizing their personal automobiles to deliver meals to our homebound clients in Monroe County.

Before volunteering, individuals must:

Fill out a Monroe County Meals On Wheels volunteer applicationProvide a copy of a valid driver's license Fill out a declaration page of auto insurance showing @ least $100,000/$300,000 or more in Liability Insurance.

Parking Details: A public parking lot is currently being constructed, but it may not be done by the Day of Caring. If the parking lot is not finished, volunteers will park on Sylvan Cascade road.

We are a small non-profit historical farm in Monroe County in need of volunteers to help with fall projects:

Deep Clean Administration Building classrooms and one room schoolhouseHelp with weeding our garden and flower bedsOther small projects around the farm

We have a very small staff and the amount of work to prepare for the fall/winter requires more manpower than we have on staff. With the volunteers provided each year through the day of caring we are able to get a great many tasks done around the farm.

We are looking forward to meeting and working alongside all of the volunteers and introducing them to the farm. 

We will provide lunch and break snacks and drinks. All cleaning materials will be provided.

We are seeking volunteers to help organize a garage that serves as a storage area for donated community resources. The space contains a large quantity of summer and winter clothing donations, as well as hygiene products, that need to be sorted, organized, and stored efficiently.

Volunteer tasks will include:

Building and assembling storage shelving unitsSorting clothing and hygiene product donations by category and seasonPlacing items on shelves in an organized and accessible mannerLabeling shelves and storage areas for easy identificationCreating an inventory sheet to track available donations and improve future distribution efforts

This project will help create a safe, organized, and functional storage system, allowing donated items to be managed more effectively and distributed to community members in need. Volunteers will make a meaningful impact by improving our ability to serve individuals and families throughout the year.

About Street2Feet

Street 2 Feet is the only homeless Day Center in Monroe County. Our vision is to assist homeless individuals in becoming self-sufficient members of the community. We believe everyone has the right to a safe environment. We provide hope and encouragement along with assistance and support for all of or clients as necessary.

Volunteers will take part in various indoor and outdoor tasks at Safe Monroe. Indoor and outdoor projects including, but not limited to;

Organizing storage areasCleaning outdoor patios/furnitureMoving heavy office furniturePainting

Projects are weather permitting, but we have both indoor and outdoor projects planned.

There will be bottled water available all day for volunteers as well as lunch.
