Monroe County Area Agency on Aging

Governed by the Monroe County Commissioners, the agency’s services to the elderly are continually reviewed by an Advisory Council composed of individuals who represent all areas of the county and who have a sincere interest in Aging problems. The Monroe County Commissioners are John R. Moyer, Chairperson, John Christy , Vice-Chairperson and , Charles A. Garris, Commissioner. The Monroe County Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council members are Peter Stefura; Connie McCool; Edward Gilligan; Dan Ferguson, Sheriff Todd Martin, Leanna Rich , Dolores Sears-Horton, Evelyn McKoy Mungin, Joan Bell, Sarah DePaolo, Geoffrey Roche, and John Siptroth.

The Monroe County Area Agency on Aging, staffed by professionals in the field of Aging, and with the guidance of the Pennsylvania Department of Aging, strives to improve the quality of life of Monroe County’s older citizens through coordination of existing services and development of essential programs.
