The Salvation Army East Stroudsburg Corps

Who We Are

The Salvation Army Mission Statement - The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination in over 130 countries.

What We Do

The Salvation Army East Stroudsburg Corps, serving Monroe County PA and the Poconos since 1900, has maintained steadfast social service and case management support in the areas of food insecurity, homelessness, rental & utility support, and emergency disaster services.  Through the five day a week breakfast and lunch soup kitchen, the emergency food pantry (monthly and daily food distribution), the emergency shelter programs and limited rental & utility assistance, as well as supporting first responders and victims of emergencies and emergency disasters, the Corps supports tens of thousands of neighbors in need every year.  A limited staff of 20, including 12 part time, welcome volunteer support across our programs.
