United Way of Monroe County’s Day of Caring gathers local companies and organizations, families and friends, to make a difference in our community. Day of Caring centers around hands-on projects that invite volunteers to spend the day assisting the needs of local non-profit organizations. United Way of Monroe County has organized thousands of volunteers since the Day of Caring’s inception 20 years ago in 1997.
This year, United Way of Monroe County will be kicking off its Day of Caring together with its 2017 Campaign at Barley Creek Brewing Company at 8am on Thursday September 14th, 2017. Light breakfast will be provided for all Day of Caring volunteers and for those joining us to kickoff our campaign to raise funds to address the most critical challenges facing our community.
Non-profits are welcome to submit Day of Caring Projects, and Volunteers are encouraged to sign up for a project in which they are most interested. Non-profits provide light refreshments at all projects. Day-long projects (9:30am - 4:30pm) include lunch, provided by the non-profit hosting the project.
